Meet Our New Artist in Residence, Taylor Yvonne 🎨✨

Hailing from Georgia, Taylor brings a powerful voice to CAE through her evocative monoprinting and abstract expression. Her work dives deep into the emotional layers of memory, identity, and womanhood, inviting us to reflect on what we feel when we simply experience an image.

Taylor is in residence this summer, developing a new body of work that captures the subtleties of human emotion through color, texture, and form—and you’re invited to see it unfold.

Who We Are Wednesday: Meet Emiko Martinez!

Emiko is our Director of Education and Outreach here at CAE.

Before stepping into the arts full-time, Emiko worked as a Validation Engineer in the corporate world, specializing in quality and risk management. But her creative spirit led her to launch Face Nectar Colorado, a face painting and henna business, and eventually deepen her path as a ceramic artist.

She holds a degree in Biology (yep, science + art!) and brings her love of surface decoration and sculpture into everything she creates.

When she’s not at CAE, you’ll find her in Conifer with her family—skiing, enjoying bluegrass festivals, and raising chickens. 🐔🎿🎶

Say hi next time you see her—and don’t be surprised if she inspires you to try something new in the studio!
